Life, Community, and Campaign Updates
Welcome to Schutte For Hagerstown
I believe this city will be successful through compassion and collaboration. Progress and development can only be achieved by bringing everyone back to the table to share common sense ideas and "community first" values.
Through my leadership and vision – Hagerstown will honor our past, address the challenges of today, and build for a better future.
About Stephen Schutte
Raised Local. Proud Local.
For well over a decade now I’ve spent my time supporting this city in every way I can. My parents still live here in town and I was raised in this community. There is a deep sense of pride and dedication towards Hagerstown and I plan on bringing back to this city as a whole!
From representing organizations in Annapolis to volunteering with service organizations or (a passion of mine) coaching baseball. I’m here to help!
Award-winning business leadership.
My connection to the local business community runs deep and I've been proud of the support and leadership that I've been able to provide locally. I spent years on the Chamber Board - leading their young professional group and helping to retain talent in this community.
As a 5-time Chamber of Commerce business award winner - I've proven that I know what it takes to be at the forefront of local customer service and running an award-winning business. In 2022 I was named Young Professional of the Year and this year I had the honor of winning Business Person of the Year!
My local business resume is strong. I plan on taking this wealth of knowledge, the years of experience, and supporting the city's business entities and stakeholders. A strong business community leads to a better future!
Non-Profit Support
Working with countless non-profits over the years, I've developed a unique understanding and view of the city's needs as it pertains to some of the most underserved segments of our community.
Whether working with Children in Need or the local library - It has been my goal to make sure organizations are connected and funded in a way that allows them to do what do best - Help. As Mayor, I will continue this "give first" practice and work to ensure that we are a city of hope and support.
